Set Up a Citi Bank Presale

Sometimes a promoter will request an Citi Presale to be setup for a performance. Follow the below steps to set this up for your performance.

Step 1: Create Campaign
Create the Citi price code(s).

Add the Citi Presale price code(s) to the performance.  This price code MUST be marked PRIVATE and have an online sales schedule.

Additionally, you may need to assign inventory so the Citi Presale price code(s) only sell from a specific section or hold status.

From the Venue Dashboard, click Manage to expand. 



Click Campaigns



Click Create Campaign



Enter the Campaign information
A. Enter the Campaign Name: will not display online
B. Enter the Start and End dates: when the Campaign is valid
C. Enter the Campaign's Maximum and Minimum ticket limits
D. Enter the Campaign Description
E. Enter the Maximum Links Per Calendar Day: If using calendar view instead of list view, the maximum number of event links per calendar day  When this limit is exceeded, a single link, "Multiple Events", will be displayed.
F. Click Continue



Click Edit Campaign Delivery Method if the Campaign will have different delivery methods than what is available at the Venue level.




Click Edit Campaign Price Code



Select the Citi Price Code(s), click Move Selected Item to Assigned and click Save and Exit.



Click Edit Campaign Performance



Select the performance and click Update



Optionally, you can Edit Seat Selection Method if you would like the Campaign to have different methods than what is set at the Venue Level.



To only allow Citi as the payment method, contact clientservices@etix.com to assign the Citi only payment processor.

The Campaign is now set. Click View Campaign Details to get the campaign sales link.




Step 2: Create Membership
If you are sent a long list of Citi codes, you can load them into Etix using the Membership platform.  This will save you time instead of having to enter each code one at a time.

From the Venue Dashboard, click Manage



Click Memberships



Click Setup New Membership



A. Enter Membership Name.  We recommend the name of the performance followed by Citi Presale.
B. Enter the Public Description
C. Choose whether to take a photo if printing membership cards
D. Select sales channel(s) to email customer when issued or renewed
E. Click Done 



The page will refresh to add membership levels.
A. Enter Membership Level Type Fixed Duration Length 
B. Enter Membership Level Name
C. 
Enter -1 as the maximum number of subscriptions allowed to issue
D. Select Display Order
E. Leave this blank.
F. Enter the Duration in Days.  We recommend 365.
G. Enter Description
H. Only select the Box Office sales channel
I. Select No to Use Loyalty Match
J. Click Create


Repeat this process if you will have multiple levels such as Citi Preferred Seating and Citi Card Member Presale.
 
Step 3: Load Citi Passcodes/Bin Numbers
Click Load Subscriptions under the Level where the Passcodes/Bin Numbers will be loaded



Click Load Passcode



A. The Membership Begin/End Time is pulling from the setup of the Membership Level.  Update as needed.
B. Enter Passcodes/Bin Numbers (One per line).  You should be able to copy and paste the Citi codes that were sent to you.
C. Click Submit



The below page will confirm the total number of subscriptions loaded.


Repeat this process if you will have multiple levels such as Citi Preferred Seating and Citi Card Member Presale.


Step 3: Create Ticket Limits
The final step is to create Performance Ticket Limits which will connect the Performance to the Membership.

Select Performance

 
Click Manage to expand



Select Ticket Limit



Click Create Ticket Limit



A. Select the Membership to tie to performance.
Note: Only active memberships will display in the dropdown.
B. Select the Membership Level.  Each level must be done individually.
C. Enter Description.
D. Set Show Remaining Tickets when Validation Fails to No
E. Set Show Remaining Tickets to No
F. Enter Max Number: This is the maximum total number of tickets across the chosen price code this membership level can purchase.  Typically for Citi Bank Presales this is set to -1 indicating there is no limit.
G. Select which Price Codes to Enable and Ticket Cont Value:
Select the same Citi Presale Price Code used in your Campaign.
Note: Only price codes associated with the performances within the Performance will display.

Note: It is most common for the Ticket Value to remain "1".  In certain cases, you may increase the Ticket Count Value to make a specific Price Code count as more than 1 ticket toward the purchaser's overall limit.  For Citi Bank Presales the value will remain "1".
H. Click Create




A. A confirmation message will display.
B. Click Return to view all current ticket limits or click Create to add additional ticket limits.

Your Citi Bank Presale is ready!  Navigate back to the Campaign and click View Campaign Details to find the Base Campaign Sales Link your patrons will use to purchase tickets.
