Member Ticket Limits

Creating a Ticket Limit allows you to create a restriction on the Performance, Package, Event Series or Timed Entry level for Memberships within the Organization. 

A Ticket Limit is what ties the Membership ID/Passcode to the ticket benefit on the restricted price code within the performance.

When creating ticket limits, users can also opt to assign an alternative Ticket Count Value to any Price Code included in Membership benefits. (The Ticket Count Value defaults to 1).

For example, Venues may offer a Weekly Pass they Value at 7 (meaning it counts for 7 tickets) so their patron can cart the Weekly Pass Price Code and input their Member ID once. The system will then cross-check for any applied benefits and seeing if the patron has reached their Benefit (ticket limit) threshold, eliminating the need for the patron to cart 7 Daily Passes valued at 1 Benefit each. 


Ticket Limits can include a Ticket Count Value at the Performance LevelEvent Level, and Timed Entry Level


How Carting Member Tickets Appears in the Online Checkout Process:
A. The Patron will select the Price Code Associated with their Membership or Benefits, whether this is at the Event Level, Performance or Package Level. (Note: The example below is at the Performance Level.)
B. Click Add Tickets



A pop-up box will appear informing the patron that a Membership ID is Required. The patron will:
A. Input their Member ID
B. Click Submit

Note:  The word “Membership” is replaced with the correct verbiage in correlation with the Membership Type selected in the Membership Creation Process.

Note:  If Campaign Links include Member Tickets with Ticket Limits, the Membership ID Required pop-up box functionality will apply to the campaign online purchase process.



If the patron has not reached their membership benefit threshold determined by the Ticket Limits set, the system will verify the Membership and cart the Member Price Code.

If Show Remaining Tickets is set to Yes a banner will display at the top of the shopping cart page and list:
A. Each Member Price Code
B. If the same member price code name is carted across multiple performances, the Performance Name will display next to the Price Code
C. Available (Total Benefits Allotted - Previously Purchased Tickets - Currently Carted Member Tickets)
D. Total (The Maximum Ticket Limit for that Price Code)




If more than one Membership is being applied to the order, the External Subscription ID entered will display in the banner next to the Price Code for which the Membership was applied.

If the Ticket Limit is set to -1 (meaning unlimited), the banner will say No Limit next to the Member Price Code carted



If Show Remaining Tickets is set to No the banner will not display.



If the patron inputs the incorrect Member ID or the number of tickets they cart supersedes their benefit threshold, they will receive the following error message:



If the patron has utilized their Membership Benefits (they reached their Ticket Limit Threshold) in a previous transaction, they will receive the following error message:



How Carting Member Tickets Appears in Venue POS:

The Box Office User will:
A. Select the Member Price Code
B. Click Add Seats



The Membership ID Required pop-up will appear.
A. Input Patron Membership ID
B. Click Submit


The system will:
A. Validate the Membership
B. Cart the Member Price Code
C. And the user can hover over 
the ? Icon to review how many tickets remain out of the patron's total benefits associated with their Membership.




If the user carts multiple Member Price Codes within the same transaction, the ? Icon will include:
A. Each Member Price Code
B. The Performance Name if the same Member Price Code is carted across multiple performances
C. The Number of Tickets Remaining
D. The Total Number of Tickets included in their benefits



If the user carts a Member Price Code that has a Ticket Limit of -1 (meaning unlimited), the message displayed next to the price code name when hovering over the ? icon is "Unlimited Remaining".



The system will also load the Customer Profile associated with the Member ID inputted.




If the box office user inputs the incorrect Member ID or the number of tickets they carted supersedes the patron's benefit threshold, they will receive the following error message:



If the patron has utilized their Membership Benefits (they reached their Ticket Limit Threshold) in a previous transaction, they will receive the following error message:
