When users are part of a Usergroup there is now additional steps to ensure that when the Best Available feature is used, only Open seats are being selected, rather than holds types that the user does have access to sell. The main function of a Usergroup is to allow users to sell out of specific holds types. Most commonly those hold types, Marketing, Comps, etc, are not intended to be sold to the general public.
Again, this article only relates to the Best Available feature within Sell by Map or Sell by Section.
Note: the user will still be able to manually select any seat using the map feature
The below example will be shown through Sell by Map
Note: This selling method requires the use of Internet Explorer browser
A. Selected Statuses: will default to O-Open (highlighted), unless the user is part of a Usergroup that cannot sell Open.
B. Available Statuses: will display all Hold Statuses the User has ability to sell.
C. Column is overflow if section B exceeds 6 hold types.
To sell out of a hold type:
Double-click O-Open so it removes the status from Selected Statuses.
Double-Click the status that needs to be sold.
The image below displays the initial Sell by Map applet:
The image below shows O-Open was double-clicked and was removed from the Selected Statuses column:
The image below shows F-Country Fan Club was double-clicked and entered the Selected Statuses column:
Enter the quantity of tickets in the appropriate price code box, then click Add to Cart
Complete the order by selecting Delivery Method, Method of Payment and Patron Data.
Note: If you have multiple statuses under the Selected Statuses column the seating chart's scale will determine the best available seat.
Note: If a user is in multiple Usergroups and those groups are attached to the same performance that user will have access to all statuses that are assigned across both groups.
