Selling ADA Seats Using Select-a-Seat

Venues can now sell ADA tickets online. Previously, ADA seats were generally sold through the box office, using the V-Hold. Some venues, however, did sell the ADA seats online using Seat Notes and characters on the seat indicating ADA seat, ie H1. Sometimes patrons would not recognize either and purchase ADA without the need for special seating.

The U - Accessible hold has been labeled a System Hold and is used for ADA seating. You will see this and all other system holds under the Venue Seat Hold Labels link under Venue Details. Use this article for creating Venue Seat Hold Labels.

To navigate to the Venue Seat Hold Labels page:

From the Venue Dashboard
Click Seating

Click Seat Hold Labels

Click System Labels

The System Labels now display

From the Performance Dashboard
Click Seating

Click Seat Management

Click Hold/Open Seat by Manifest


The GUI (graphic user interface) Manifest will appear.
A. Select the section by using the drop down.
B. Click GO to select the section. The GUI will refresh and the new section will have loaded.

A. Select your hold category using the drop down.
Note: if you have not created your seat labels, you must do so first.
B. Select the seats that need to be held (they will turn orange when selected).
C. Click Update to HOLD the seats.
D. Click Clear to select different seats.


The confirmation box will display confirming Your holds have been processed.
Click the Close button to hold additional seats or move to another screen.

A. The selected seats are now in a hold category.
B. The Hold Levels key will show the hold types.

Note: If the Box Office and/or the Etix phone center will be selling the U - Accessible holds then you must set up a Usergroup. Use this article for Usergroup setup.

To assign Price Code Inventory/Password:
From the Performance Dashboard

Click Advanced to expand

Click Assign Price Code Inventory/Password

Click Assign Inventory next to the ADA Price Code

A. Place a checkmark next to the U - Accessible Hold Seat Status
B. Click Assign Seat Statuses for this Price Code

The page will refresh and the process is complete.

Note: That a popup message will appear, when any seat(s) in an U-Accessible hold are added to their cart, requiring the customer to agree that they do in fact need ADA tickets. If "Confirm" is clicked, the checkout process will continue. If "Cancel" is clicked, the ADA tickets will be removed from the cart and they will be brought to the Performance/Package Page to begin the purchase process again. If Non-ADA tickets were in the cart as well, only the ADA tickets will be removed.
